Forcan is prescribed for the treatment of meningitis, pneumonia, and fungal infections affecting the mouth, kidneys, throat, liver, heart, abdomen, and urinary tract. It has also been utilized to address vaginal infections and oral thrush.

Before starting Forcan: Inform your doctor if you have any allergies to Forcan or other medications. Provide your doctor with a complete list of all medications you are currently taking, particularly antiviral drugs such as Zidovudine, Astemizole, blood thinners like Warfarin, asthma treatments, Cisapride, Hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ), Rifampin, gastrointestinal medications like Cimetidine, oral contraceptives, diabetes medications, Phenytoin, Tacrolimus, Rifabutin, Terfenadine, and any vitamins. Notify your doctor if you have or have ever experienced liver or kidney issues or a history of alcohol misuse. Additionally, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. If you become pregnant while using Forcan, contact your doctor immediately.
